The movie Purge reminds me of my self-defenses. If you could ever make it to the real me, you were Donkey and Shrek on an adventure. If you could bypass the fortress, Napalm, 8 Ninjas, and Naruto's Clone Ju-Jitsu you may be able to consider yourself lucky. This way of thinking created a hermit-like version of myself. It's time to be a unicorn riding on a rainbow and get the hell out of my head.
Lady Lush gives the initial impression that I am obviously a drunk. Not the case. Although I will drink here. I will drink there. I will drink just about anywhere...It is more about the difference between the sober-work version of ourselves, and the I've had just enough of the right combination of happy drink, pills, herb, which represents the more relaxed version of ourselves. Let's chat. Let's let all that shit out.
Lady Lush has things she would like to get off her mind, and this is her platform. End goal: readers find humor in most posts, and perhaps insight. Although, that is highly doubtful. It's mostly me ranting. Adulting is not easy. Maintaining healthy relationships is imperative, as is who will change your diaper when you are old. Be it family, lover, friends or the one bagger at HEB that actually came to help because the damn line won't move. Rhe-lationships take work and I am horrible at putting the work in.

Lady Lush duh! I'm the one that has learned (finally) that I can't blame others for my own hell. I chose to carry around guilt and rage like a badge of honor. An angry woman like the rest. Burned by a man. It isn't that serious. At least it doesn't; have to be. I am learning to hold myself accountable. Not saying I like it because adulting sucks and forgiveness is for the weak! However, I am learning that it helps to forge on and heal old wounds.
My first marriage was a thing of nightmares. However, I can't blame him 100% for letting me down and destroying the idea of how a man should treat a woman. It's a tit-for-tat. Both sexes ultimately want to destroy the other. I'm kidding. Not really. No one can set me off like someone I'm sleeping with. Some may say one that you love. Patato, Potatoe, pahtatoe... Either which way relationships can rip your soul out of your mouth like a Harry Potter charachter.
There's a method to my madness or perhaps that's what all the crazies say. No one likes to read these days and I have no idea how blogs still exist if they don't have a robot voice reading them out loud for those of us who hate formulating vowel sounds. Even those of us who hate a past participal. My mind is an extraordinary place and this platform your opportunity to basque in my insanity. It's fun.

I have always heard that as we get older we begin to think of our purpose. What is it? I think about that moment when I'm on my death bed. My hair obviously looking fabulous, because it isn't really mine. Hopefully, Mac rereleased their matte Verushka since it is the best color of lipstick ever. That will be a must. The mani/pedi will be on-point, and my moo-moo customized. There I go getting distracted again, but you get my point. Prior to my last breath, and the seeing of bright lights, I will remember the things I didn't do, but wish I had. I can't allow that to happen. I will not let life pass me by and regret it as I take my final breath.

I wish I could say exactly what I want to say, as I want to say it, forever uncensored. I bite my tongue often, because of things like feelings, and social norms. Let's not leave out politically correct. I do this rightfully so. It is called respect. It doesn't mean I don't want to be heard. It simply means that if you are reading this you have some time before I become offensive.

It's a difficult path to play various roles in life. I'm tired. I am a mother, teacher, healthcare warrior, writer, thinker, executer, sorta kinda a little bit of a nurturer. Regardless of how busy my day, I am not too busy to turn and lend a helping hand. We are in this thing called life together. Ladies, the struggle is real. The least we can do is forge though it as a united front. GIRL POWER! Be fearless and make your dreams a reality.
